We are looking for a licensed Esthetician, who specializes in Body Waxing, to join our team and grow with our business.
OPPORTUNITY: Experienced Waxing Specialist
LOCATIONS:
Michigan City and/or Crown Point, Indiana
EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Full-time or Part-time
JOB SUMMARY:
The Waxing Specialist will be responsible for providing body waxing services to clients, ensuring a high level of customer care and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have a passion for waxing, an eye for detail, and a commitment to hygiene and safety standards. This role involves both male and female waxing services, and candidates should be comfortable with full-body waxing, including sensitive areas.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform with confidence Full Body hair removal with soft wax
- Perform with confidence the use of hard wax when needed
- Provide consultation to clients on proper pre and post-wax care to maintain skin health
- Ensure waxing areas and tools are prepared and maintained for cleanliness and sanitation according to industry standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of office space before, during, and after days end of business
- Prep supplies for self and team members
- Follow safety and health guidelines to ensure a sterile and safe environment for all clients.
- Build and maintain a loyal client base by delivering excellent service and ensuring client comfort.
- Educate clients about waxing frequency and the benefits of waxing versus other hair removal methods.
- Manage appointment schedules and ensure timely service delivery
- Stay updated on the latest trends and products in the body waxing and skincare industry.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Esthetician license
- 3 yrs experience with a base clientele
- Active presence on Social Media platforms and demonstrated ability to create content.
- Proven experience as a waxing specialist
- Strong understanding of skincare and hair removal techniques.
- Willingness to adapt skill set and techniques to the standards of The Waxi Taxi
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a customer-focused attitude.
- Ability to maintain discretion and professionalism at all times.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage time effectively.
- Flexible to work evenings and weekends as required.
- Basic tech skills required: scheduling site and check out process
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to lift and carry materials up to 20 lbs.
